Kitchen Updated!

So the previous pictures are, admittedly, very old. Some things have changed quite a bit, including the kitchen.

Before (I cannot believe the mess)

During. Paint color is Mint Whisper from Velspar

This was my inspiration chair but I'm second guessing yellow...

If you didn't notice the old light, scroll back up and notice with amazement. Special thanks to Pat's friends for installing the light when they were supposed to be hanging out!
It really wasn't that hard to repaint. I even did it all by myself!

I feel the most success with the kitchen but there are still little(ish) things that I want done. For example, how do I fix the cabinets so they stay completely closed? Also, with two doggies (and currently fostering a third) and an ongoing backyard renovation everything always feels so dirty. It's still my current favorite room.

Lesson Learned: It might take a while but if I can keep at it I will like the result.

It's been a while...

The "kitchen" part of the kitchen. I have already changed those horrible knobs. There are a total of 22, so I just spray-painted them all white.

The garage door and window into the living room. The paint color pictured is Milestone. I thought it was going to be a lot grayer but it looked too purple and dark. I have already repainted. Also, please excuse the moving-in mess.

The living room as if you were standing at the front door. This room is Porpoise and the white wall is diagonally paneled. the panels were dark brown, but now that they are white, I actually love the interesting effect.

Another view of the living room (should I do an up-close of the panel wall?)

This is the guest room (Pat's mom's room in her favorite light blue color). We got a nice bed as a housewarming gift and Pat has made a beautiful wall of bookcases. Pictures to come... maybe

This is my bedroom during the move. The color to me is blah, but I don't know what color I want...

Here is the backyard. It was in pretty bad shape. Pat has installed a new patio and the dogs have
gained control of it, it has gotten worse, but it's in the process of getting better.

Lesson learned: I was really stressed out upon picking paint colors. I was visiting the paint store everyday, sometimes more than once. I was searching for pictures that I loved so that I could copy. I finally chose some colors and realized that didn't work and I need to repaint immediately. It was funny that I had stressed so much over something that I could change (relatively) easily. Go figure.
